Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how SIMY (“we”) handles information when you use the SIMY web application at simy.one and the SIMY Chrome extension (collectively, the “Service”).

1. The Chrome extension

The SIMY Chrome extension is an optional companion to the web application. It executes browser-automation tasks on tabs you have already opened, on behalf of pipelines you have explicitly configured in your SIMY workspace. It does not run any task autonomously — every action is initiated by a pipeline triggered from your account.

What the extension collects

• The current page content (HTML, visible text, screenshots, and the bounding boxes of interactive elements) of the tab a task targets — only at the moment a task runs, and only for that tab.
• The URL of the targeted tab, to confirm it matches the pattern in the pipeline.
• Inputs you type into form fields via tasks (e.g. an email body authored in a SIMY pipeline).
• A device token, stored locally via chrome.storage.local. This token authenticates your browser to your SIMY workspace. It is generated after you sign in to SIMY from the extension connection flow and is erased when you uninstall the extension or unpair the device.

What the extension transmits

Task inputs and outputs (page snippets, screenshots, extracted values) are sent to the SIMY backend at the API base configured during connection. We do not share this data with third-party advertisers, analytics vendors, or model providers beyond those you have explicitly connected to your workspace.

What the extension does NOT do

• It does not collect your browsing history.
• It does not run code from remote servers — every script that executes is bundled in the published extension package.
• It does not transmit page content from tabs that no active task targets.
• It does not sell or rent any personal information.

2. The SIMY web application

When you sign in to simy.one, we store: your email, name, and team membership (via Supabase Auth); the workspace data you create (pipelines, jobs, action routes, signals); and OAuth tokens for any third-party connectors you opt in to (Google Workspace, Slack, etc.). We use this data only to provide the Service to you and your team.

3. Retention & deletion

You can delete your workspace data at any time from /settings. Uninstalling the Chrome extension or unpairing your device immediately invalidates the device's token. To request full account deletion, email support@simy.one; we delete within 30 days unless retention is required by law.
